On the morning of September 16, 2020, Guo Xizeng, deputy director of educational textbook branch of China Architecture & Building Press, Jiang Weimin, director of Shaanxi Teaching Material Service Center, and editor Zhang Wei were invited to the School of Architecture to hold an exchange meeting on textbook publishing and discuss matters concerning textbook construction cooperation. Zhang Xia, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice dean of the School of Architecture, Yu Kanhua, vice dean, Bai Hua, vice dean, Li Ling, deputy director of the Department of Architecture, Wu Yan, deputy director of the Department of Landscape Architecture, and teachers of the school's textbook project participated in the exchange forum. The meeting was presided over by Yu Kanhua, vice dean of the School of Architecture.

He conveyed the general Secretary Xi Jinping series of spirit, "to pay attention to the construction of the teaching material system. Fundamentally speaking, what kind of teaching material system should be established, what contents should be taught and what values should be advocated by core teaching materials, and reflecting the will of the state are the administrative rights of the state”. He said that the purpose of this negotiation is to understand the college's teaching material construction plan, publishing intention, teaching material use feedback, etc., to explore the feasibility of cooperative construction of excellent teaching materials. At the same time, he introduced the ideas of digital teaching materials foundation, the cooperative ways of course digitization construction, the national publishing fund, and the industrial trend and key development points of educational publishing industry.

Yu Kanhua, vice dean of the School of Architecture, introduced the development course, school scale and specialty characteristics of the college, especially the great initiatives of the recent teaching material construction of the school. At the same time, he pointed out that the college teaching material construction is in the critical period of striving for breakthrough, and is seeking for more development opportunities, and more academic publishing platform resources are needed to support the rapid development of the college teaching material construction.

Zhang Xia, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice dean of the School, proposed that the textbook cooperation could expand communication channels between the school and the society, build a platform for long-term cooperation between the publishing house and the school, and provide more professional and comprehensive guidance for the publishing of books and textbooks by teachers of the School of Architecture.
Bai Hua, vice dean, introduced the graduate student enrollment scale, training methods and characteristics of the school, stressed the role of high-level teaching materials in improving the quality of personnel training, encourage teachers to actively apply for postgraduate teaching materials construction fund, hope to combine China Architecture & Building Press quality platform to produce more excellent teaching materials and works.
The participating teachers also expressed their views, focusing on professional and discipline construction, improving the level of teaching material construction and sustainable development of the site exchange and discussion. The teaching materials teachers actively asked questions and consulted the publishing issues, and established multi-level contacts with the editors of China Architecture & Building Press.
