On March 14, 2021, the western "9 + 1 + 2" Architectural Specialty Teaching alliance and "Zhongsheng Cup" joint graduation design 2021 Teaching Seminar were successfully held in Chang'an University. The seminar was sponsored by the school of architecture of Chang'an University. More than 30 teachers from 11 alliance universities, including Chang'an University, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Sichuan University, Yunnan University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwest University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Northwest University of Technology, Xinjiang University, Xihua University and Lanzhou University of Technology, attended the seminar.
The Agenda
The seminar is divided into two parts: theme seminar and discussion. The seminar was hosted by Liu Qibo, vice dean of the School of Architecture of Chang’an University. Hou Quanhua, Dean of the School of Architecture of Chang'an University, delivered a speech as the organizer. He warmly welcomed all the teachers and clarified the theme and content of this teaching seminar. Liu Benteng, dean of the School of Art and Design of Lanzhou University of Technology, delivered a speech as a representative of the alliance colleges, pointing out that the "9 + 1 + 2" architecture teaching alliance in the west is open-minded.
Professor Xu Jian, vice dean of School of Architecture and Planning, Yunnan University; Professor Yang Qingjuan, vice dean of School of Architecture and Design, Southwest Jiaotong University; Professor Quan Dongji, Director of Department of Urban Planning, School of City and Environment, Northwest University; and Professor Wu Lian, School of Architecture, Chang'an University gave speeches on education and teaching reform, personnel training and graduation design reform, the problems and development status of architecture specialty, and the architectural education and research exploration.
At the discussion in the afternoon, experts from various schools had discussions on the objectives and work priorities of the next stage of the teaching alliance, and put forward opinions and suggestions from strengthening the organization construction of the teaching alliance, strengthening the sharing of resources and talents of the teaching alliance, and promoting the display of teaching achievements of the alliance, so as to lay a solid foundation for the further development of the teaching alliance in the future. So far, the western "9 + 1 + 2" architectural professional teaching alliance and "Zhongsheng Cup" joint graduation project 2021 teaching seminar was successfully held.
